history of the Menifee Valley
Spring Nature Hikes
The Wickerd Farm is pleased to announce that we will be resuming our Spring Nature Hikes this year.
On this guided hike, we will be seeing and discussing the wildflowers, wildlife, and the history of the Menifee Valley. We will visit some sites used by the local tribes as well as a site prospected by the 49’ers. You will also be able to see some of the original homestead here. The hike ends at the Butterfly Garden with an overview of what we are currently doing and the future of our farm.
The Hike is 1.1 miles long. We recommend wearing comfortable walking/hiking shoes, long pants, and a hat. We also recommend that you bring water. The cost is $10/person. There is a 10 person minimum, so you may want to ask some friends to join you. The Hike usually takes 1 1/2 – 2 hours to complete.
The Wickerd Farm is located at 26852 Scott Road, Menifee. For additional information or to book a Hike, please Text Julie at 909-286-8289.
